This unique pendant has a interesting history. Approximately twenty years ago I have purchased a job lot of rough amber and amber jewellery from an old Lithuanian craftsman. There was a lot of unfinished and broken jewellery. One pendant was old already back then. It spent two decades in my drawer. Recently I decided to give to the amber a second life. I know that amber must be stored 20-30 years above the earth surface to get that beautiful orange butterscotch colour. I removed the amber cabochon from old broken silver setting and set it into 9ct gold. So we have a vintage amber set into modern gold. The pendant is 26mm long including bail, the amber size is 18x14mm. The gold is fully UK hallmarked. The chain is not included. Free worldwide shipping. Added to our catalog 07/03/2010.
